I like kiwis because they're an interesting mix of sweet & tart, which adds an interesting element to fruit salads. They are incredibly messy to peel but so worth the effort!

Tech Support 101

download Alice 3.x
- (best to download the 579MB file as the online installation did not work)
- Storytelling Alice was pre-installed for us but doesn't allow files to create videos.
Java Development Kit (JDK) or Netbeans for enhanced environment
download & install Alice overnight

Intro to Storytelling Alice

Add Objects (Characters & Scenery)
Make Objects & Object parts move
- video example
- Properties
- Methods
- Functions
Recreate jumping jack movement

Randy Pausch, Alice Team Lead, "The Last Lecture", died August 2008 of cancer.

Day 2 Tue

Review Objects to inspire stories

you can code new Objects in Java and add to your personal library

Camera Movement...too tricky for teachers!

Used Muvizu to practice moving camera, camera angles, zoom and pan

Returned to Alice and practiced dropping cameras at existing tripod, creating new scenes

Began coding 3D animations to share at end of the week.
